Written by on 3rd February 2021

The Rotary Club of Leighton Linslade are delighted to be able to announce that as a result of the marvellous support of the people in the Leighton-Linslade area over Christmas, they have been able to make donations to 13 local organisations totalling just over £9,000.
The 13 organisations represent a broad spectrum of groups working in the local community, but include Autism Bedfordshire, Willen Hospice, SSAFA,
Friends Within ( Mencap), Salvation Army’s local work with the Homeless  and the High Sheriff’s Appeal for IT for local Schools.
In these challenging times Rotary are keen to do all they possibly can to support the local community and channel financial support towards those doing such wonderful work in the Leighton-Linslade area.
Rotary President Simon Marshall said
“ Normally after Santa’s efforts around the town at Christmas we would gather at the Golf Club to spread his joy to a number of local organisations, sadly we couldn’t do that this year but we were determined to ensure that local groups who needed our support in these unprecedented times did not miss out. The 13 organisations we have made donations too ,all do fantastic work and their  impact is seen in our local community every day. We couldn’t of course do any of this without the generosity of local citizens and the trust which they place in Rotary, so on behalf of your Rotarians thank you , We won’t let you down.
