28th and 29th October – Art Exhibition
Leighton Buzzard Art Society (LBAS) is holding its Annual Art Exhibition and Sale on Friday and Saturday 28th and 29th October 10am – 5pm at All Saints Church, Church Square with a private view for members, friends and families on the Thursday evening, when it will be officially opened by Lady Jane Clifford The High Sheriff of Bedfordshire
The exhibition is free to attend and includes works by local artists. There are 4 areas of the display, the first is the general exhibition of members’ work, the second area is work commissioned for the exhibition about the church completed by members in the last few months. The 3rd are our shared sketchbooks – these were commenced during lockdown as a means of members keeping in touch, sharing a sketchbook on a theme, these were passed on to different artists and have proved so popular that they continue to be created.. The final area includes community art and some art work to get involved with including the large painting of Leighton Buzzard High Street on market day.
LBAS meet regularly for professional artist demonstrations, to make art together, for life drawing sessions, visit galleries, or sometimes just chat! We also hold regular ‘Pop Up Exhibitions’ which are usually linked to a town event.
